I have it on good authority Hungary is a cracker of a weekend and about 1/4 the cost of most of the others. Spa weekend is a bank holiday weekend in the UK as well.
If I was living in the UK Chippsie, Monaco, Hungary and Spa would all be must dos. And probably all cheaper than Silverstone!

I dunno, I'm not sure if rain is good or bad. On the one hand it might give Mark a better chance at victory, but on the other hand it will make it alot more luck of the draw. I think i would prefer it was dry to be honest. Either way, not knowing how competitive Red Bull will be leading into the weekend, a solid top 5 would do me at this stage. Podium would be even better.

So I'm planning a european trip around one of the races. I'm thinking Spa for obvious reasons, but maybe Monza would be better as Italy is a definite country I'll be visiting.

I could have heard wrong, but i think Marky might have got confused with which track he was on for a sec there lol Im sure i heard him say "approaching the second degner chicane". Thinking about Japan already i see lol
I want to book my flights, but first I want to know roughly what time everyone's arriving? I don't want to end up being the last one in again, or arriving hours after everyone else.
I assume we're all arriving on the Wednesday again...
I just came in here to write the exact same post! Freaky.
Pretty sure we're arriving on the Thursday morning this year as there is no walk on Wednesday.
I am considering that if we generally aim to arrive between 10 and 10.30am at Tulla?
How does that work for people?
Means we should be at accomms to drop our stuff by 11 and at the track by 11.30.

Re: 13th team canned « Result #17 Today at 11:21am »
Actually having read further into this, youve got to wonder why neither Villrango or Epsilon were accepted
Villrango had/have the car design complete, a third party manufacturer ready to build it for them, better facilities than some of the present teams, confirmed budget for 3 seasons at least, and were prepared to use the FIA's much loved Cosworth customer engine, hell thats a better bid than any of USF1, Campos/Hispania or Manor GP/Virgin put together! so why not give them the nod or at least reserve slot?
Epsilon were looking the real deal too, theyve got theyre car in windtunnel testing already, have a superb engineering base with the capability of building theyre own cars, they had budget for two years, and had a lot of people who know how F1 works on board and how to do it on a smallish budget effectively, seeing as they are known to have spoken about taking over Hispania, i think its entirely possible Epsilon could be around in 2011 anyway.
I reckon the stink of the USF1 failure is what dominated this entry process, and thanks to messrs Anderson and Windsor and theyre total and utter incompetance, two far more worthy attempts at an F1 entry have been hung out to dry

hmmmm im going for pitlane speeding or cutting chicane to gain an advantage, failing them he'll run into the safety car while trying to line up behind it from an accident he caused in the first place, after all its the only four wheeled vehicle on track this year he hasnt hit

i keep seeing rumours of Senna replacing Trulli at Lotus next year, and with the more or less certain switch to Renault power for Lotus next year it would revive a legendary combination

Ill get in touch with Supersleeper and see how he is going with it. He is very on the ball withit all but the brains trust might be a bit difficult to get in touch with.
Mark's accent is so weird - don't know exactly what it is but it's certainly a strange mix.
I think it's probably a little warped by spending so long in Pommyland and living with two native Poms, but also he tends to tone down his Aussie accent when he's talking to European reporters. Otherwise they don't understand him!
How is it that you get odds of $5.25 that Webber will win but only $5 that the winner will be an Aussie?????
They did the same thing in Melbourne too, remember? I wandered over to teh stand with Jim I think and it had Mark at $9 and Australian at $9.50 or something like that...

I'm really very annoyed at the amount of "Renault to ditch Petrov" stories.
Okay, so Vitaly hasn't been smashing the Kube by any stretch of the imagination...but jeez....he's been doing a pretty good job! That overtake on...who was it?...at Spa was incredibly ballsy!
I know what you mean.... the pass was so good it is still etched in my mind.... so much so that i can't for the life of me remember who it was that got overtaken....
Maybe it was Bernie on his way to the Incontinental Suite above the grandstand????
Surely a 'circuit' whereby you start and finish at the same point (and elevation) by definition has an equal measure of North (incline) and South (decline)?

Interview with Mark « Result #47 Yesterday at 11:21pm »
Found this interview with Mark on Youtube. It's interesting what he says about Seb. "I can't control Seb, he does what he does and obviously the Team will make some decisions in the future." So what's that all about?
Re: HOLY S**T......700 MEMBERS ! « Result #48 Yesterday at 10:56pm »
Thanks for the warm welcome gents! Looking forward to the weekend, even if it won't RB's strongest track. Mark can always make our day by humiliating the Petulant one again...
Some very interesting opinions from Peter Windsor (well known MW fan) in his Spa analysis on pages 25-26 of this weeks magazine. Use the link at the top to check it out.
I have been wondering when/where PW would turn up, and now I have my answer, doing what he does best, writing only good things (deserved things) about Mark.
Thanks for the heads up trippin, doesn't hold back on leSeb either

This tickled my funny bone...cos it's so bl00dy true:
Patty Weekly's Spotters Guide to Ordergate PW gives you a cut-out-and-keep guide to what you should be looking out for during the World Motor Sport Council Grand Prix of the World this Wednesday: - Hasty photos circulated around F1 news sites depicting an incongruous-looking Stefano Domenicali walking into FIA HQ in dapper Italian suit, surrounded by 37-strong Ferrari legal team. - Gurgling series of soundbites from ex-drivers/F1 pundits/Flavio Briatore released by news agencies desperate to drum up some interest in the case. - Random Twitter wind-up claiming to know the outcome of the hearing at a ludicrously early time is retweeted into oblivion before everyone realises it is nonsense. - Lengthy lunchtime lull between hearing and verdict broken by reported sighting of Fernando Alonso returning some conference call hardware to his local branch of Currys. - Mad rush of purported official verdicts around 3pm ranging from 'no punishment' to 'expulsion from motorsport' cause everyone to give up and just wait for someone from Autosport to confirm what has happened. - FIA utilise post-verdict chaos to quietly slip through questionable rule tweak/2011 calendar announcement/reinstatement of Max Mosley
